About Le Fleurish Collective

I wanted togetherness to have somewhere to live.

I'm Christy, and this work began at home.

A few years ago we moved from just outside a major city to a farm in rural Louisiana, and everything about our life changed at once. I went back to work after four years at home, which meant my daughter, who had only ever known me being there, was adjusting to a new place and a new rhythm at the same time. My son was adjusting too. My husband was settling into retirement and a whole new shift of responsibilities.

We would all come home exhausted and go our separate ways. That happens sometimes in life. One Christmas isn't going to look like the next one.

Here's what I noticed: I didn't have it in me to be bothered, and I missed my kids anyway. I wanted to engage with them. I wanted the energy. So I started with my body, taking vitamin D and figuring out what my health actually needed. Then it dawned on me that the problem was bigger than supplements.

We were living in the middle of nowhere and still driving long distances to hold on to some sense of normalcy, still doing everything we had done near the city. We kept adding things to the list and never subtracting anything, and it was becoming unbearable. Everybody was getting used to being apart. We weren't checking in with each other, and we were getting snappy because we were all tired and had no anchor.

And I realized that if I didn't have anything for me, I was going to crumble, explode, and wither all at once.

Enough was enough. We stopped adding things to the plate and took some things off. We brought in the Hour of Intention, one protected hour every evening, and slowly, day by day, we came back together.

Going into this year, I decided I was not going to live overwhelmed, tired, or exhausted. I wanted peace. I wanted calm. And I want women to see me and realize what I finally saw: so many of us have opted into chaos and dysfunction, and it is up to us to choose peace and calm instead. We can. We just have to choose presence, and choose a good quality of life, however we define it.

That's what Le Fleurish Collective is. Not therapy, not parenting tricks. Practical, beautiful structures for the life you say you want, starting with you.
